I was wondering if any of you sea friends have any process information regarding the decolorization of monosodium glutamate that you could share? Especially the process that combines activated carbon with ultrafiltration membranes? This post was last edited by zxh6267 on 2009-3-31 10:24.]
The decolorization of monosodium glutamate generally employs powder activated carbon and granular activated carbon as decolorizing agents. The resin decolorization process was once used as well, but it is no longer in use. The use of ultrafiltration membranes has not yet been seen to date!
The choice of activated carbon is very important; it should at least be of the type used for needles or sugar! ! !
The main component of monosodium glutamate is sodium glutamate, and a large amount of pigment is generated during the production process, which affects the quality of the product. In current production methods, activated carbon is used for decolorization, but the drawback of this approach is its high production cost
The needles are too thin, which generates a lot of dust and makes it difficult to deal with……
