What exactly does the test temperature refer to in the allowable stress of the heat exchanger material at the test temperature mentioned in formula 3 for calculating the hydraulic test pressure in GB151 P14 3.17.1.1? I believe the test temperature should refer to the average wall temperature of the pressure-bearing element during the test. There’s no need to delve too deeply into this issue; generally, as long as the temperature is below 150 degrees, the stress on the material remains unchanged, and you wouldn’t use water at temperatures above 150 degrees for pressure testing.
This is in line with GB150 and the tolerance specifications. It is also related to the toughness-fragility transition.
Agree with the opinion from the 2nd floor. Why is it necessary to specify the temperature of the testing environment and the temperature of the medium in a pressure test report? The purpose is to record the temperature at which the pressure test was conducted. In summer, to prevent dew formation during pressure testing, the water used for testing must also be exposed to sunlight. So the opinion on the 2nd floor should be correct.
I also think it is the wall temperature of the shell and heat exchange tube materials determined during the pressure test.
The test temperature should take into account the lowest possible temperature of water; high temperatures are certainly not suitable, and it must not be below 5 degrees to prevent brittle transformation at low temperatures.
