What should be the appropriate concentration of MTBE at the top of the MTBE catalytic distillation column?

I would like to know what appropriate concentration of MTBE should be at the top of the MTBE catalytic distillation tower. I’ve seen some design documents indicating a control level of 50 ppm, while others suggest 200 ppm; I’m not sure what level manufacturers use. Does a higher amount of MTBE exiting the tower mean that more of it will end up in the wastewater through the extraction and recovery towers, thereby contaminating groundwater?
I’m a beginner, but I know that the MTBE concentration at the top of the tower should be as low as possible. Once it reaches the extraction tower, it cannot be recovered, which is both wasteful and harmful to the environment. What do you say? ?
