In our facility’s tank area, the anti-static wires often get lost or experience broken connections; what is the best way to maintain them?
Monitoring can be set up; it is very dangerous for unauthorized persons to enter the tank area, so education and warnings are essential
The key is to improve the quality of workers, strengthen education and team management, clarify interests and responsibilities, and identify those who are accountable.
During economic booms, a large number of copper wires used for static grounding in facilities go missing, and safety inspections frequently reveal this issue. At first, these wires were replaced, but they continued to disappear. In the end, narrow flat steel strips were used for connections to resolve this troublesome problem (hole-punched bolts should be used for joining; welding should not be employed). Our approach is to use galvanized flat steel of -25x3 for welding.
