If the normal operating pressure of the low-temperature methanol wash system is 5.7 MPa, can the lean methanol pump be started to establish a liquid level when the pressure is reduced to 2.5 MPa? Could it cause damage to the tray?
The absorption tower is not a closed system; so how can the tray be damaged? Could it be due to pressure buildup, flooding of the tower, or an excessive differential pressure across the trays?
