I once encountered a company where the circulating water facility was located far away from the production buildings; in order to save on insulation costs, the outdoor circulating water pipes were buried underground (this is the practice in most companies). However, no proper support was provided at the pipe connections, and ground settlement occurred to varying degrees in many areas, causing the underground pipes to crack; water even seeped through the hardened ground surface. Some companies choose to use trench-mounted pipes, but insulation is required, and the trenches must be covered with covers. I’d like to discuss with fellow sea enthusiasts: are there any better ways to lay it out?

The circulating water pipelines in our company are also buried directly underground. However, during the construction of these pipelines, it is necessary to conduct weld inspection at the joints, and anti-corrosion treatment must be applied to the pipelines. In cases where the geological conditions are poor, we carry out local cushioning work by laying a C15 cushion layer under the pipelines; the thickness of this layer is 100 units, and its width depends on the size of the pipelines.
Laying it underground is a good method; when choosing the pipe material, opt for one with good toughness. Supports should be added at the connection points, and there shouldn’t be any major issues.
