For the absorption tower and regeneration tower in amine scrubbing for desulfurization, the convergence criteria for the regeneration tower are either the temperature at the bottom of the tower or the amount of acidic gases at the top of the tower; if convergence does not occur, has anyone conducted simulations in this area? The absorption tower may not require convergence constraints.
I’m asking about the regeneration tower; the absorption tower does not have convergence conditions set
Once the inlet temperature to the tower is determined, it is only necessary to specify the ratio of the feed flow rate to the steam volume used at the bottom of the tower.
It is recommended to change the parameters of the settings. I used the temperatures simulated under other conditions as constraints for proii, but it still did not converge; this can serve as a reference
This post was last edited by haimesa on 2012-6-26 09:17. The reflux ratio is generally set at 2-3; the temperature of the first tray (the condenser) is 40 degrees. I have implemented this approach in N sets, and there have been no problems in any of them. Using a thermodynamic approach, an amine pack is chosen; the total number of theoretical trays in the column is 11-14, with the feed located on the 3rd or 4th tray. Making adjustments according to these parameters should resolve any issues. If there are still problems, please share them and I’ll help you adjust them
