I came across guide frames while looking at some materials today; I’m not sure what they are used for. I hope the teachers can explain it to me
A guide frame is a support structure that serves to provide guidance; it is commonly used in vertical pipes and generally does not serve as a supporting element. Of course, if you support the horizontal pipe, that can also serve as a support.
The function of the guide frame is to allow the pipeline to extend longitudinally when it undergoes thermal expansion, thereby releasing stress; it does so without damaging the pipe support and without causing the pipeline to move laterally.
Guiding frames are installed at the pipe support points when axial displacement is present and lateral displacement needs to be restricted.
A guide frame is essentially a guiding support; it is different from a sliding support, which does not restrict the radial movement of the pipeline. The guide bracket functions as a limit bracket. There are generally two types of guide supports: horizontal guide supports.
