Dear colleagues, what are the energy consumption metrics for the heavy oil catalytic units in your company? I’m referring to the unit consumption of water, electricity, gas, and air. Could we discuss this to see how high the processing costs are?
Energy consumption metrics and processing costs are two entirely different concepts: energy consumption metrics merely record the amount of energy and energy-consuming substances used during operation, whereas costs require accounting for equipment depreciation. I will only talk about energy consumption. Currently, the situation regarding heavy oil catalysis in China varies; units with flue gas emission and those without such emissions differ, as do those that utilize low-temperature heat and those that do not. Differences also exist in the slag mixing ratio used in the systems as well as in the level of heat integration, so it is difficult to establish a unified standard. Generally, the better levels of energy consumption for heavy oil catalysis are around 50–60 KgEO/t.
Who can tell me what kind of energy is generally used in catalytic devices? What are the specific energy consumption metrics? The more detailed, the better. Thank you
