Junior personnel in refinery automation seek advice from experienced automation veterans

I am a graduate in automation; I work at an oil refinery that is currently under construction and will begin operations in a few years. Instrument maintenance is outsourced, and the refinery uses Emerson’s DeltaV control system. I have been assigned to learn *manufacturing techniques. It is said that I will be involved in the installation of systems, and I would like to ask those of you who have more experience: what should I focus on learning during this time? What should I focus on learning in terms of techniques? What should be my path in a few years when instrument outsourcing is involved?
Various specialties are studied, and they can all be useful in the future. The only thing to do is to do the task at hand well. The effort should be put into learning how to be a person. Don’t talk non-stop all day long. Show yourself more, including in various entertainment competitions. Let your leaders know more about you and get to know you. A good academic record is not as valuable as a word from a leader. These are some of my thoughts.
