Staying away for long periods makes me feel guilty towards my family. Do you have any good suggestions?

Work requires being at the oil field sites, which are located in desert forests. Yet what supports me is the warm messages from my family, so I recommend talking to them more often.
Communicate more with your family and explain to them the nature of your work. Make the most of every minute at home and give your family more warmth.
Call your family more often, have video chats to bring them emotional warmth, and create opportunities to be together with them whenever possible! If conditions permit, go home; if not, create the conditions.
If that’s not possible, talk to your employer about bringing your spouse to work in the same company as you, so they can go on business trips together and work together

Actually, why do we all work so hard? Isn’t it to make life better for oneself and one’s family? If one can’t do these things, then why go through the hard work?
That’s absolutely right; it’s a good piece of advice. The oil industry has been doing well these past years, and once one has made enough money, they can return to their hometowns in comfort and lead a low-key life. But only those who are truly skilled can achieve this! One word: “greed”.
