Issue of partition height inside the container

My unit has a separation container, but no water-separation baffle was installed during construction; as a result, the water separation effect during operation is very poor, which often affects normal production. During this major overhaul, it is planned to add this partition to half its height. It’s just determined by experience. Are there any standards in this regard?
It seems there are requirements regarding the thickness of the partition, but not regarding its height; it should be designed based on experience. Half the height is not an empirical value; it should also be taken into account along with the total height of the container.
Generally, the height of the partition is taken between 0.5Di and 0.75Di; we usually choose a height of around 0.7Di.
Are there corresponding standard requirements? I also want to learn *it
It should be calculated by the process engineering team regarding the oil-water separation time and liquid level control.
