Has any friend used polyurea for heavy corrosion protection on offshore platforms, and was the result good?
I heard it’s relatively expensive, but the spraying speed is the fastest. Its resistance to acids and alkalis is decent.

High-quality rigid polyurea can be used without issues; it’s the polyurea elastomers that present problems. Key construction quality control is essential, as large-scale projects are not as simple as just spraying a panel into the sea and letting it float. Our earliest application in the marine environment was at the end of 2002; over these 10 years of continuous exposure to seawater, no problems have occurred. Specific cases can be visited.
