What are the reasons for the abnormal increase in pressure in a vacuum distillation tower? (In the case where no accidents occur in the vacuum system)
1. Check whether too much steam is being added. 2. Check if there are any leaks in the tower. 3. Check if the heater is leaking steam into the tower
The reasons are: 1. Excessive processing volume, with too many light components; ⒉The temperature at the bottom of the tower is too high, resulting in an increased gas-phase load at the top of the tower and gas flow obstruction ; ⒊Excessive backflow increases the vapor load at the top of the tower, resulting in vapor blockage. Solution: Address the root cause and take appropriate measures.
Is there a leak at the pipeline flange connections or something like that?
1. Leakage 2. Large processing volume, with a high proportion of light components.
Reasons for the abnormal increase in pressure in a negative-pressure distillation tower: 1. Vacuum pump failure; there is no accident, but the nozzle or other components may be slightly clogged; 2. Abnormal feed composition, excessive light components ; 3. Excessive tower load, such as too large a feed rate or too high a reflux ratio ; 4. System leakage.
Excessive steam volume, insufficient cooling water volume, excessive feed amount, too many light components, excessive reflux volume, and clogged packing inside the tower – any of these can be the cause
What should be done if the pressure in the negative-pressure tower rises and cannot be controlled? Do you want to stop?
Close the steam valve. Stop feeding, enable reflux, open the on-site vent valve; (after the pressure stabilizes, open the steam valve and resume feeding). If the situation still cannot be controlled. Then you have to stop the car
Whether to park or not depends on whether the issue can be resolved with the device turned on; if so, no parking is needed. For example: If steam leaks from the heat exchanger, operations must be halted ; If the feed contains water, it’s not necessary
Use a fishbone diagram to analyze it: from equipment (leaks, failures…), materials (excess of light components, excess steam…), operations (mistakes in operation…), and so on
