Are there any standard specifications regarding the number of openings in equipment such as water tanks? What I’m asking about is the quantity, such as manholes or handholes, etc. For example, are there any regulations regarding the number of ion exchange beds, sight glasses, etc.? Please provide the standard and regulatory references, thank you.
What water tank? There are generally no strict requirements; usually, a manhole (for maintenance and anti-corrosion purposes) and a water level gauge are needed.
I really don’t know if there are any limits or regulations regarding the number of access holes in the water tank. As long as the sight glass allows sufficient visibility of the liquid level, that’s sufficient; the number of access holes only needs to be enough for cleaning and corrosion protection
What about the openings in other devices, even if they’re not water tanks? There should be some standard for manholes, access holes, etc. If you know, please let me know. Thank you.
