If the temperature of the process gas is relatively high, are there any requirements for the compressor?
It is required that the gas temperature during compressor operation meet the design specifications, with no significant deviations allowed. Deviation from the set value causes the compressor to operate with insufficient efficiency or, if the flow rate is too high, the compressor operates under overload.
Does a high process gas temperature mean it was designed to be this high, or has it now deviated from the design value and become very high? If it is the latter, it means that the density of the gas decreases; or, in terms of standard conditions, it means that the molecular weight of the process gas decreases. This leads to an increase in the compression energy required, higher compression power consumption, and a decline in the efficiency of the compressor unit. It also has an adverse effect on the vibration levels of the unit.
