Hello everyone, I’m a beginner and I’m facing a problem right now: the pipelines in the pump room are DN350 with PN6.3 specifications. Now I need to choose valves, and I’m not sure what factors to take into consideration. I’ve selected a few options, but their size is quite large; it seems that a platform would be necessary if they are to be installed vertically. Please give me some advice! Thank you!
Valves of DN350 are quite large (ball valves are also large), and if size is a concern, then an operation platform must be installed; it is necessary to have such a platform whether the valve is electric or not.

Ball valves are larger in size compared to butterfly valves.

It’s so large; it’s better not to use ball valves, as the torque required is too high, making it difficult to turn the valve. They are also inconvenient to use. If there are no special requirements, butterfly valves or gate valves will suffice.

I’m not sure what type of valve you’re using; I think the best option is a butterfly valve – it’s cost-effective and also has good stability. If you use a gate valve, then sufficient space will be required.:) :)

I think it depends on the location; if there are around 50 households living at the foot of the mountain, then butterfly valves would be suitable for use in the pump room
