Our company has a new oil tank farm. The size of the tank is 5000m3. Dear friends, how many grounding terminals should each tank have?
Just place the tank in 2 places, one at each end. Assuming it's a vertical tank, I don't know the grounding location. Please help experts.

Horizontal ones generally have two places, and vertical ones generally have only one place, which can meet the grounding requirements. If the requirements cannot be met, you can consider adding a grounding electrode.
This design meets lightning protection requirements. If the tank thickness is greater than 4mm, lightning rods are not required, but the grounding must be at least 2 points. . You need at least 2 points of grounding, at opposite ends of the diameter of the tank. .

For grounding such as oil tanks, you cannot just use the steel bars in the tank foundation. Regardless of whether the grounding resistance is sufficient or not, a ring grounding body must be installed 3 meters away. I have forgotten the specific reason. I have done this kind of design before, but then I checked the specifications and changed the design in the future ;P
Irrigation areas are generally surrounded by annular grounding bodies, and the storage tank must be connected to the annular grounding body at least in two places.
