Several experts from organizations such as the Petroleum and Chemical Planning Institute, Tsinghua University, and Shenhua Coal-to-Oil Chemical Co., Ltd. attended the demonstration meeting. Since its construction began in early 2007, the Ningdong Coal Chemical Industry Base has attracted increasing attention from chemical industries and related sectors both at home and abroad. The School of Chemical Engineering at Ningxia University, which is located near this base, began planning and applying for a provincial-level coal chemical engineering laboratory in August of that same year; it is set to be completed and inspected by August this year. According to a responsible official from the High-Tech Division of the Ningxia Development and Reform Commission, once the coal chemical laboratory passes the provincial evaluation, it will apply for **-level recognition. It is reported that the coal chemical engineering laboratory will first establish a demonstration laboratory for a circular economy in coal chemical engineering, focusing on research into coal-based liquid fertilizer technologies and their applications, energy-saving and emission-reduction techniques for coal-based chemical processes, as well as technologies for utilizing coal-based waste residues. Experts such as Gu Zongqin, President of the Petroleum and Chemical Planning Institute; Wu Hongye, a leading designer from China Global Engineering Corporation; and Ren Xiangkun, Deputy General Manager of Shenhua Coal-to-Oil Chemical Co., Ltd., attended the demonstration meeting and offered constructive suggestions and opinions.
Coal-based liquid fertilizer technologies and their applications, energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies for coal-based chemical processes, and technologies for the utilization of coal-based waste residues – these are all relatively new areas of research and development at present. Pay attention to the development of the Coal Chemical Engineering Laboratory at Ningxia University.
It seems the preparation time came a bit late.
