A good friend of mine is preparing for a PhD and asked me to post a message to ask ** for some advice. I’m looking for universities and supervisors in China that are strong in coal chemical engineering (preferably gasification). I hope everyone can help me out.
The university and supervisor with strong expertise in coal gasification is likely the Key Laboratory of Coal Gasification of the Ministry of Education at East China University of Science and Technology. If all my LZ friends are going for a PhD, don’t they still not know much about the industry? This post was last edited by *jun on 2009-4-1 10:44]
In terms of coal gasification: School of Chemical Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology; Shanxi Coal Chemistry Research Institute; **Key Laboratory of Environmental Energy, Zhejiang University; School of Energy, Tsinghua University. In terms of coal processing: China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing)
I suggest the poster’s friend apply for a PhD at East China University of Science and Technology; they can learn a great deal there, and they will have the opportunity to work with experts in gasification!
Very apt! I’m from China University of Mining and Technology; I know a supervisor named Liang Jie who is working on underground gasification projects for SNOW. I’m not quite sure about the specifics, as the fields are different. Miner plus Miner Max is quite good. The score – how did it get displayed? Hehe. I want to say that.
East China University of Science and Technology is quite strong in gasification! Teacher Lao Yu has passed away; the current leading scientist is Professor **. Following him are Teachers Yu Guangsuo, Wang Yifei, and Gong Xin, all of whom are experts in gasification! This post was last edited by jensse on 2009-4-1 16:31]
The university has courses on coal gasification and liquefaction; it is highly proficient in coal research, and has academicians there
East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai is great!
If gasification is the focus, it is recommended to apply to East China University of Science and Technology. I graduated from East China University, so I know quite a lot about it.
The clean coal gasification laboratory at East China University of Science and Technology seems to be unmatched in China, and the team of doctors trained there has grown quite strong
The coal chemical engineering program at Taiyuan University of Technology is also very excellent. One-carbon chemistry is also a **key laboratory focus. There is also a coal chemistry institute here.
