To date, 11 coal, coal-fired power, and coal chemical projects are under construction or have already been completed. 　　 A relevant official from the Changji Prefecture Economic and Trade Commission explained that in the development of the Zhundong coal, electricity, and coal chemical industry base, the 138-kilometer-long Zhundong highway is now fully operational ； The 95-kilometer new line from Xiaohuangshan to Wucaiwan on the Zhundong Railway is set to be put into use soon ； The construction of over 200 kilometers of optical cable has ensured full coverage of communication signals in the sparsely populated Junggar region. To date, in the entire Zhundong industrial belt, the 42 companies engaged in resource exploration have invested a total of 1.3 billion yuan; 2.2 billion yuan has been invested in infrastructure development, and 2.1 billion yuan has been spent on project construction.
