Work is a pleasant form of paid learning; only by seriously reflecting on this statement can we truly understand the relationship between work and learning, between work and personal professional development, between work and knowledge and skills, and between work and the acquisition of experience. The process of working is a process of learning and of building one’s own knowledge. Only when one’s professional skills are improved and transformed into actual experience can one’s personal value be recognized. If one does not think or learn at work, then what started as mental work eventually turns into repetitive physical labor; by the end, no experience is gained, and knowledge even declines over time. Failing to take one’s work seriously, and disdaining it, will lead to a loss of interest in work, as well as a loss of interest in learning and making continuous improvements at work. Working just for the sake of working; feeling constrained by the company, with no interest or motivation for growth ； Or it’s being overambitious and setting unrealistic goals; expecting to take on higher-level tasks without doing the current work properly or establishing a solid foundation, which will ultimately lead to a disastrous outcome. Do not focus your attention solely on what is involved in your work; the tasks at work usually represent only 1% or less of a complete knowledge system. One should pay more attention to the business and technical areas involved in the work, keep an eye on the development trends and cutting-edge theories in these fields, focus on gathering and accumulating information over time, and participate in various training sessions and practical activities to reinforce one’s knowledge. Periodically organize one’s knowledge system to make both knowledge and processes systematic and structured; write more work summaries and reflections on what has been learned, think more about areas that can be improved, and try out and apply new methods. A solid foundation in the subject area and a broad range of knowledge are both very important. Interest is the best teacher; do not lose interest in your work. If you truly have no interest in it, then you should consider changing to another job, as this will provide the motivation to improve and learn. As long as we are committed to learning, to learning throughout our lives, we need not fear starting from scratch; knowledge is interconnected in nature. Being able to systematically explain what you have summarized to others or express it in writing are both good ways to organize one’s work experience. Often, we find that regarding the work we have been doing for half a year or a year, we are only able to explain it to others in less than 10 minutes ； Or we read a book, yet we have no idea what its main content is or what we have gained from it. All this shows that the content of work and study has not been transformed into one’s own knowledge and experience, and no improvement has been achieved by the individual. Ultimately, it is hoped that those who are working will be able to gain three years of work experience over those three years, rather than only accumulating three months of experience.
