Can a radar level gauge be used to measure liquid level in a vacuum environment?
Radar and guided-wave radar level gauges can be used in vacuum conditions. Generally, single- and double-flange level gauges are not suitable for use in vacuum; over time, the diaphragm box may bulge outward, especially in the negative pressure chamber. Instruments with imported components may last a bit longer, while domestic instruments perform even worse in such conditions.
