What are the main properties of 15CrMoR material? In what situations is it mainly used? What are its main components?
15CrMoR is a steel plate used for containers; its microstructure consists of ferrite + pearlite + a small amount of bainite, with a grain size of grade 5 to 8. It exhibits high endurance strength at 500–550°C. When the temperature exceeds 550°C, the antioxidant properties deteriorate and the creep strength decreases significantly. When exposed to temperatures between 500 and 550°C for an extended period, spheroidization of carbides occurs along with the transfer of alloying elements into these carbides, which leads to a decrease in the heat strength of 15CrMoR steel and a reduction in its strength.

The new standard follows GB713-2008: for grades 6-60, the tensile strength is 450–590 N/mm2, the yield strength is 295 N/mm2, and the elongation is 19%. For grades 60-100, the tensile strength is 450–590 N/mm2, the yield strength is 275 N/mm2, and the elongation is 19%. For grades 100-150, the tensile strength is 440–580 N/mm2, the yield strength is 255 N/mm2, and the elongation is 19%. The steel plates are delivered in a normalized and tempered condition.

This 15CrMoR is a steel plate for pressure vessels. GB713-2008 is now in effect. The general form requires high-temperature resistance.
