Does the sulfuric acid an obtained after deamination of coke oven gas need to be evaporated? Can you introduce the working principle of a sulfuric acid saturator?
Can you make it clearer what you mean? Of course ammonium sulfate needs to be dried.
I mean, is an evaporator used in this section?
In the saturator, ammonia is absorbed by dilute sulfuric acid to produce a sulfuric acid mother liquor. When the mother liquor accumulates to a certain extent, sulfate anhydride crystals are precipitated. The crystals are centrifugally dehydrated, fluidized bed dried or drum dried or otherwise dried to obtain the finished product. The finished product is packaged to obtain the final product. There is no need for an evaporator during the production process, and the formation of crystals relies on the accumulation of salt.
Nowadays, most spray-type saturators are used, which integrate pickling, absorption and crystallization. The coke oven gas enters the upper spray chamber of the saturator and is divided into two streams. It flows upward along the annular space between the inner wall of the saturator and the outer wall of the acid remover. Contact with the circulating mother liquor sprayed in reverse direction. The ammonia gas is absorbed by the sulfuric acid in the mother liquor. After the two streams of gas merge into one stream, they contact and react with the mother liquor sprayed twice. Then the gas enters the acid remover in the saturator in a tangential direction, and the entrained sulfuric acid droplets are separated and sent to the next section. The contact reaction between coal gas and mother liquor produces anhydrous sulfate, which is crystallized and dried before being packaged and stored.
