The day before yesterday, the temperature of the water supplied for protecting our burners suddenly rose by 40 degrees; after making adjustments, it dropped back to its original level. What impact does prolonged use of water for protecting the burner at high temperatures have on the burner? Is it necessary to stop after a long period of time!
Deionized water is used at the inlet of the burner protection pump; doesn’t the temperature of deionized water reach 40 degrees? That means there’s a problem with the inlet and outlet check valves; the water that comes out of the burner is flowing back.
Water is used to reduce the temperature; otherwise, the burner will be damaged by high temperatures! The interlock system for cooling water is very thorough and complete; in the event of a problem, the water in the upper tank will flow automatically to keep the burners cooled. If the temperature of the water returning from the burners exceeds the specified limit, this may be acceptable for a short period of time, but it is necessary to identify the cause over the long term. If the temperature exceeds 80 degrees, it is advisable to check whether the pump is not delivering enough flow or if there are any blockages in the valves – care must not be taken lightly! Burners are expensive, so they need to be protected! I’m not sure whether your burner is supplied with steam, or how it was designed; in any case, the protection of the burner needs to be given top priority.
