The specific application ranges and characteristics of the pumps are shown in Table 1–1 below. Indicator: Leaf, Pump type – Positive displacement pump, Centrifugal pump, Axial flow pump, Vortex pump, Reciprocating pump, Rotary pump. Flow uniformity: Uniform, Non-uniform; relatively uniform. Stability: Unstable, varies depending on the pipeline conditions; constant. Range: m³/h – 1.6~30000, 150~245000, 0.4~100~600, 1~600. Head characteristics: For a certain flow rate, only a specific head can be achieved; for a certain flow rate, different heads can be attained, with the range determined by the piping system – 10~2600 m, 2~20 m, 8~150 m. Pressure: 0.2~100 MPa, 0.2~60 MPa. Efficiency characteristics: Highest at the design point; efficiency decreases as the deviation from this point increases. Efficiency drops less at high heads; it drops more at high heads. Range (highest value): 0.5~0.8, 0.7~0.9, 0.25~0.5, 0.7~0.85, 0.6~0.8. Structural characteristics: Simple structure, low cost, small size, light weight, easy to install and maintain. Complex structure, high vibration, large size, high cost. Similar to centrifugal pumps in terms of operation and maintenance. Flow regulation methods: Throttling at the outlet or changing the speed. Throttling at the outlet or changing the blade installation angle. Cannot be regulated using an outlet valve; bypass regulation is required. Similar to vortex pumps; speed and stroke can also be adjusted. Like vortex pumps, they generally do not have self-priming capability. Some models do have this feature. Starting procedure: Outlet valve closed, Outlet valve fully open, Outlet valve fully open. Maintenance: Easy, Difficult, Easy. Application range: Various media with low viscosity. Particularly suitable for high-flow, low-head applications with low viscosity media. Particularly suitable for low-flow, high-pressure applications with low-viscosity clean media. Suitable for high-pressure, low-flow clean media (including those containing suspensions; diaphragm pumps can be used if complete leakage prevention is required). Suitable for medium-to-low pressure, medium-to-low flow rates, especially for media with high viscosity
