Selection of filters

I would like to ask: in what applications are vertical filters (mesh type, basket type) and three-way filters (Y-type, T-type) used respectively?

Filters are mainly used before rotating equipment such as pumps, or before devices of the reactor type that require purity of the medium. In fact, these filters can be installed either in front of pumps or reactors. The choice of filter is mainly determined by convenience and the amount of impurities in the medium. For example, T- and Y-type valves are generally installed in front of pumps; they take up less space and are easy to remove. For example, in applications prior to entering the reactor, where the volume of material to be processed is large and a longer switching time is required, or where automatic backwashing switching is necessary, three-stage filters are generally not considered; instead, basket filters or similar types are used.
