During my studies, I encountered such a problem: for a batch size of N=9000, with a specified LQ of 2% and a second-level significance level, I need to find an appropriate single-sample sampling plan. The solution is as follows: Using Pattern B, according to the single-sample inspection table for Pattern B in GB/T2828.2, the applicable sampling plans are (200.1); the highest acceptance probability corresponding to a limit quality level of LQ=2% is 0.089, and the quality level corresponding to a risk of 5% for the manufacturer is 1.178%. I don’t know how it is that the maximum acceptance probability for LQ=2% is 0.089 I also don’t understand how the producer’s risk level of 5% is determined, nor how their quality level of 1.178% is calculated. If anyone knows, please help me understand it. Thank you. This is an example problem from page 171 of this year’s Quality Basics textbook; I simply can’t figure it out.
