Speed is the displacement per unit of time, while acceleration is the change in speed per unit of time.
Vibration velocity sensors are used to detect the intensity and displacement of absolute vibration in bearing shells; their measurement range is 0–2 mm, with a detection accuracy of up to 0.1 mm/s for intensity or 1 μm for bearing vibration. The vibration acceleration sensor can reach a peak value of 490 m/s2 (50g) across the frequency range of 1Hz to 20kHz, with an accuracy of up to 0.1g.
