During the sulfuric acid production process, when the combustion furnace is restarted after a temporary shutdown, blockages in the sulfonation nozzles often occur; how should this be dealt with?
The steam insulation of the sulfide gun must not be interrupted; the steam pressure and temperature must be maintained!
I think most manufacturers can ensure an adequate supply of steam, but it’s still necessary to control the pressure of the steam used for insulation – neither too high nor too low. The relief valves must also be in good condition; any leakage of steam is just a waste of steam and makes the environment unsightly. If no steam leaks out but water doesn’t flow either, that’s a problem. Additionally, there should be no dead zones in the jacketing; in areas where the jacketing distance is short, insulation must be thorough.
A filter screen is installed in front of the pump; this is usually done to prevent the sulfonation gun from getting clogged due to impurities in the liquid sulfur
Blockage in the sulfur spraying device 1: If it is due to impurities in the sulfur, then it is necessary to check whether there is a problem with the filter at the outlet of the sulfur pump (a filtering device is generally installed at the pump outlet). 2. Is the heat-retaining steam ensured, and is the drainage system proper without any dead corners? This possibility is quite high.
I think you should look into the issue with liquid sulfur – it might be due to the inefficiency of the filter, or it could be caused by using large amounts of externally supplied liquid sulfur for direct combustion.
