We are an ammonia synthesis plant with a monthly sulfur production of 300 tons; we want to develop downstream industries, and the sulfuric acid industry would be an option. I wonder if any expert has good suggestions; thank you for your advice
300 tons of sulfur per month – if used to produce sulfuric acid, that would result in only 900 tons of 98% sulfuric acid per month, or 10,000 tons per year in total. Therefore, using it for sulfuric acid production is not feasible; it’s not economically viable, and it’s also possible that the project won’t get approved. If there is a demand for liquid sulfur dioxide, sulfurous acid, sodium sulfite, etc., in your area, you might consider entering this business, as it can enable economies of scale.
