In a ball mill coal grinder, the high-pressure oil pump fails to reach the specified pressure once it is started, which prevents the grinder from operating. What could be the cause of this?
This high-pressure pump generates very high pressure; if the pressure doesn’t rise after it’s turned on, it’s necessary to check whether there is a problem with the pump itself.
Check whether there is any leakage in the outlet pressure regulator of the high-pressure oil pump; if there is no leakage, the high-pressure oil pump can be inspected. Additionally, the viscosity of the oil should also be analyzed – this issue tends to occur more frequently in hot weather during summer. We also often encounter this situation
Things that are easy to overlook: 1. Leakage at the outlet of the high-pressure oil pump (such as valve leakage); 2. Insufficient back pressure at the shaft and bearing areas. Simpler issues: 3. Problems with the pump’s output, such as the motor rotating in the reverse direction; 4. Insufficient suction volume; 5. High temperature and low viscosity, which prevent the achievement of the designed pressure
