Currently, the main foreign technologies include Texaco’s water-coal slurry gasification, Shell’s fluidized bed coal gasification, and GSP’s fluidized bed coal gasification. In China, Texaco’s gasifiers are most widely used; Shell’s gasifiers have the most complex control systems, while GSP’s gasifiers are of good quality but lack sufficient promotion. Texaco’s gasifiers can produce syngas at the highest pressure, whereas the latter two technologies yield syngas at lower pressures. The choice of gasification technology should be based on the processes that will be used subsequently.
