Question 1: If a bimetallic thermometer is installed on a pipe, the appropriate insertion depth is generally between 1/2 and 3/4 of the pipe’s length. What should be the insertion depth if it is installed on a tank? ? Question 2: When interlocking, is the relay coil normally energized or de-energized? Reply 1: There are no specific regulations regarding installation on tanks, but you can refer to pipe installations; when the pipe diameter DN is less than 50, an expansion pipe must be installed, which indirectly indicates that the container should be inserted at least 25 mm deep. The maximum value should be determined based on the medium being measured. Reply 2: The relays involved in interlocking should be dotted. I would also appreciate it if an expert could provide an answer

The insertion depth of the thermometer into the tank should be no less than 300 millimeters. For safety reasons, the solenoid valve connected to it is usually kept powered on
1. The depth of insertion into the tank should be approximately 10-15 times the diameter of the thermocouple protection tube; 2. The solenoid valves for interlocking are usually kept powered, and they are set to closed in the DCS.
