Cold drawn low carbon steel wire: Low carbon steel wire that has been hardened through cold working via drawing processes. Round steel wires with diameters of 3, 4, or 5 millimeters, produced at room temperature by drawing through drawing dies using ordinary carbon steel hot-rolled wire rods with diameters of 6.5 or 8 millimeters. Cold-drawn low-carbon steel wires for construction are divided into Class A and Class B. Grade A steel wires are primarily used as prestressing materials for small prestressed concrete components ; Grade B steel wire is generally used for welding or binding frames, mesh sheets, or stirrups. Cold-drawn low-carbon steel wires are mainly used in small prestressed concrete components, such as beams, hollow floor slabs, and small utility poles, as well as in rural buildings for purposes like purlins, door frames, and window frames.
