We have a project here undergoing water balance analysis; how can we determine the water supply and discharge amounts for the circulating water system? I would appreciate some guidance from those who are more experienced.

1. Water replenishment amount: During the water circulation process, in addition to losses due to evaporation and the discharge of wastewater required to maintain a certain concentration level, there are also losses caused by water being carried away by air currents escaping from the top of the cooling tower, as well as losses due to pipe leaks. Therefore, the water replenishment amount is calculated as follows: Water replenishment amount = Evaporation losses + Wind-induced losses + Wastewater discharge losses + Leakage losses. 2. Wastewater discharge amount: This is related to the evaporation losses and concentration level of the cooling tower. The wastewater discharge amount can be simply calculated as: Wastewater discharge amount = Evaporated water volume / (Concentration level – 1)
It is related to the quality of the water you use to replenish it.
