For outdoor storage tanks of organic materials such as propane and dichloromethane, what is the typical nitrogen pressure used for sealing the tank tops?
It is necessary to determine what the saturated vapor pressure of propylene and dichloromethane is at the designed storage temperature; the nitrogen pressure must be greater than or equal to that material’s saturated vapor pressure
The nitrogen pressure just needs to be greater than or equal to the saturated vapor pressure of the material being stored.
