If liquid argon is cheaper than liquid nitrogen, that’s great; one can pour the liquid argon elsewhere to sell it and then buy liquid nitrogen in its place. This can save a lot of money, hehe. As for using liquid argon as a substitute for liquid nitrogen, it’s mainly used as a shielding gas and for gas replacement in devices. As long as it’s not synthetic ammonia, using argon is generally no problem~
1 kg of liquid nitrogen, at 0 degrees, vaporizes to a gas volume of 0.800 m3; Liquid argon is 0.561 m3. In that case, it only makes sense if the price of liquid argon is low enough compared to that of liquid nitrogen. Furthermore, the production cost of liquid argon is higher than that of liquid nitrogen, and short-term market fluctuations cannot be regarded as fundamental market laws.
:My personal opinion: Given the limited capacity of the storage tanks, once the liquid level reaches a certain point, it is better to use it up as liquid nitrogen rather than reducing its price and disrupting the market. It’s not about ignoring the laws of the market.
