Today, I came across an old problem by chance; it asked: What happens to the output of the valve positioner when the feedback rod that connects it to the actuator stem of the control valve comes loose? Post it for everyone to discuss
This is equivalent to the locator having no feedback; normally, it should output the maximum value
Depending on the cam installation style, one output is maximum while the other is minimum.
There is no feedback left, so the output will be at the extreme value, either the maximum or the minimum; this is likely related to the positive and negative feedback of the locator.
After some effort, I found the old weekly problem; haha, the answer given back then was that the locator did not provide any feedback, resulting in a pneumatic amplifier with a high amplification factor. If the locator operates in a positive manner, meaning that as the signal increases, the output also increases, then the valve stem will come loose and the output will reach its maximum value； Conversely, the output is zero. :) :) :)
