Literature review: First, read two review articles to understand the past and future； Take a closer look at the specific article to understand the technical methods ； Read the abstract primarily; the full text should be used only as a supplement ； Most books are useless; don’t waste your time on them ； (A book on basic methods; you can take a brief look at it if it’s useful.) It’s useless to read too few references – there are at least two hundred of them. 2. Topic selection and project initiation: It’s not wise to set overly high goals; aim to pass first, then strive for excellence ； Careful project planning with attention to details leads to fewer setbacks ； The boss’s attitude is the most important thing; it determines what level of performance is required to graduate. (It’s important to figure out what needs to be done to graduate.) 3. Project implementation: Striving for excellence is the goal; it’s most important to stay humble ； (When flexibility is needed, be flexible; things in life don’t always go as one wishes.) If you can’t do it, don’t get frustrated; persistence will yield results ； (It’s useless to get frustrated; perseverance leads to success.) If you don’t know something, ask for help – never try to figure it out on your own ； (Asking experts is faster than trying to figure things out on your own; sometimes certain tasks can be outsourced.) You should talk to your boss regularly, and you need to find someone even if it’s difficult ； (Having a supervisor allows for continuous correction of the research direction, so as to avoid staying off track without even realizing it.) 4. Publishing articles in SCI is important; one must write them even if it’s difficult to do so ； (SCI journals place emphasis on the innovation of papers; you must demonstrate what is new in your work in order to increase the chances of acceptance.) It’s easiest to get published in EI journals – basically, all that’s needed is money ； If that doesn’t work, just post it in the meeting – there’s nothing else to say ； The boss seizes the articles that are published; no discussion allowed – decisions are made without consulting anyone first ； (If the boss insists on being the first author, and sometimes you’re reluctant to do that, you have no choice but to publish it first and then report on it later. However, be sure to make the boss the second author. 5. Lifestyle: It’s important to relax, keep the body healthy, and maintain psychological balance ； (Don’t complain, don’t compare; work hard.) Do singing and exercise as well – time in beautiful surroundings is essential ；
