In a dimethyl ether system, can an overheated reactor (above 420 degrees) cause overpressure? How to handle it?
The dimethyl ether system reactor has overheated to over 420 degrees – it’s dangerous! At this temperature, the catalyst is damaged, there are numerous side reactions, a large amount of heat is released, and the pressure rises sharply. Whether overpressure will occur depends on the duration of the overheating condition; it is very likely that overpressure will result.
Why is the temperature so high? Is it because of overheating?
Such high temperatures may cause damage to the reactor’s structure.
