But it’s difficult for me to determine whether the calculation results are accurate; I’m not confident about their precision. Especially with partial condensation heating, it’s even more uncertain. Additionally, someone on the forum mentioned the issue of heat exchanger optimization. I would like to ask: what aspects are usually optimized in heat exchanger optimization? To determine specifically whether the flow rate in the tube-shell circuit meets the values specified in relevant literature, whether the pressure drop is within acceptable limits, and whether the differences in the heat transfer coefficients between the tube and shell sides are too large, it is necessary to have a margin of 20-30% in terms of heat transfer area; this value should be determined by the individual. Additionally, there are restrictions on the flow rates for crossflow and window configurations, so it is necessary to check the appropriate ranges for the properties in question. Additionally, consider whether the arrangement of the pipes is appropriate; for this, you should refer to national standards.
