Our plant’s hydrogenation unit requires a hydrogen delivery rate of 4500 Nm3/h; the pressure at the source of hydrogen is 0.3 Mpa (gauge pressure), while the reaction pressure in the hydrogenation unit is 15.0 Mpa. The delivery distance is 1 kilometer. Please assist us in selecting the appropriate materials, pipe diameter, wall thickness, flow velocity, as well as determining which equipment is needed. Calculate roughly how much the investment in pipeline transportation is.
You’d better have the design institute do the calculations for you
The location of the booster affects investment: It is best to place the booster at the inlet of the hydrogenation unit, as this reduces the need for high-pressure pipelines and thus lowers costs. Please have the design institute carry out the calculations
Two three-stage compression reciprocators, two inter-stage coolers, and two inter-stage liquid separation tanks are required, costing nearly 6 million; one synchronous motor costs 2 million, and carbon steel pipes for the pipelines cost another 2 million. Adding labor costs, the instrumentation and valves needed amount to roughly 11 million. Last edited by Zhongyuanren on 2009-4-3 22:52]
Place the compressor in a device that uses hydrogen, and use low-pressure pipelines; the investment should not be high, with the main cost coming from the compressor itself.
