Are there any manufacturers that add CO2 to steam?

Our facility uses a fixed-bed gas generator with a length of 2.61 meters. Someone has suggested adding high-purity CO2 to the steam – what are the benefits of doing this? Are there manufacturers that do this? Please give me some advice.

There are fixed-bed coal gasifiers with crushed coal that use CO2 recycling back to the furnace.
In my opinion, it mainly depends on the requirements of the gas. If a larger amount of carbon monoxide is needed, carbon dioxide can be added as a gasifying agent. However, when producing syngas for ammonia and methanol synthesis, carbon dioxide cannot be used as a gasifying agent, because more heat is required to reduce carbon dioxide compared to steam, and the resulting carbon monoxide needs to undergo further reactions in a shift reaction to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Adding carbon dioxide as a vaporizing agent is ineffective.
