Which domestic manufacturers produce coal-based needle coke? Hongte – who else?
Anshan Thermal Energy Research Institute is set to start construction in June
There are two in Anshan; one is Sinosteel, and the name of the other is unknown. I heard that Fangda Carbon also set up one, with plans to start operations in 2010.
The units that have conducted intermediate tests include: Anshan Coking and Refractory Research Institute, Anshan Thermal Energy Research Institute, Baosteel Chemicals, Anshan Coastal Chemicals, and Shandong Yankuang Kelan Company； Unit under construction: ANSHAN Thermal Energy Research Institute of China Iron and Steel ； Unit for normal production: Shanxi Hongte.
