There is a location where a flow meter needs to be installed; the medium is liquid sulfur, it has an insulation jacket, the pressure is 0.5 MPa, the temperature is around 150°, and the viscosity is relatively high. Which type of flow meter would be suitable?
Emerson’s mass flow meters with steam-insulated jackets, or electromagnetic flow meters.
We are using a metal tube float flow meter with a thermal insulation jacket. Produced by Chengde Huitong; I’ve been using it and it still works very well.
Our factory doesn’t have liquid sulfur, but I think an electromagnetic flowmeter with a thermal insulation jacket should be used
The best way to measure is by using a metal rotameter with a thermal insulation jacket (for steam), along with a filter at the inlet. Companies such as Yunnan Sanhuan and Furi all use it.
What is the purpose of adding filters on the frontend?
Installing a magnetic filter at the front end is mainly to prevent clogging.
