I come from a construction company; I worked as a process piping installation technician for 3 years. I now want to change jobs and move to a production facility, applying for the position of workshop equipment technician. I would like to ask questions regarding the following aspects; I would be extremely grateful if you could provide some guidance. 1: What are the responsibilities of a workshop equipment technician? 2: What knowledge should workshop equipment technicians understand and master? They have only been responsible for installing equipment before, but they don’t know what to do in the workshop I arrived at the gasification plant of a group’s coal gasification project. I want to know how to maintain and manage the equipment in the gasification plant Are there any professional materials and websites on this topic? 3: 5S, 6S, and 7S management are commonly seen in everyday life; what is the role of workshop technicians in this type of management? 4: Is there any material prepared by those who have worked as workshop equipment technicians? Responsibilities of Equipment Technician: 1. Take overall responsibility for the technical management of equipment in the workshop, assist supervisors in equipment management, and ensure that production tasks are completed. 2. Responsible for drafting and implementing operating procedures for large-scale units. 3. Conduct daily inspections of the equipment, check maintenance records and logs, and promptly analyze and resolve any equipment issues or accidents that arise during production. 4. Prepare and submit the major maintenance plans for the equipment as well as the technical reports related to the equipment on time, establish and improve the equipment documentation, and strengthen equipment management. 5. Be fully responsible for technological innovation and upgrades, as well as the identification and introduction of new technologies and equipment. 6. Under the leadership of the workshop supervisor, implement and strictly enforce industry standards, as well as the guidelines, policies for equipment management issued by the authorities and the factory, along with the detailed rules and regulations related to these. 7. Be familiar with all equipment in the facility, provide guidance on equipment maintenance for various positions, and be able to handle emergencies properly. 8. Cooperate with production to meet production targets, ensure stable operation of the equipment, and achieve satisfactory levels with regard to equipment integrity, leakage rates, and fault rates. 9. Strictly abide by relevant laws, regulations, and various rules and regulations. These responsibilities shall take effect as of the date of approval, with the approver responsible for monitoring and evaluating them.
