In the field of 3D design software for the plant design industry, there are mainly three systems: PDMS developed by the British company AVEVA, PDS based on Microstation and SmartPlant developed by the American company Intergraph, as well as Plantspace (based on Microstation) and AutoPLANT (based on AutoCAD) from the American company Bently. Currently, the PDMS software from the UK is quite popular in China. There are also some domestically developed software options such as Autopdms from Changsha Youyi Company, and pdmax from Changsha Siwei Company – these are 3D factory design management systems based on AutoCAD that are easy to use. However, domestic software is still in its infancy, and its overall performance is still somewhat inferior to that of foreign software.
It seems the original poster knows too little about this area; it’s better to get more experience with software first before offering opinions!

I’ve learned it. If I want to draw a 3D principle flowchart, I’m not sure what would be the most convenient tool to use?
I think both PDMS and PDMax can be used; if conditions permit, I think PDMS is better. PDMax is more convenient to use as it is based on AutoCAD, but the integration between the two isn’t very good. The above are just my personal opinions; please forgive me if there are any mistakes!
Those who have worked in real large design institutes know that PDS is the most important tool; take a look at the biggest projects – which one uses PDMS?

It’s likely I’ll be working with small design firms. At Tianchen, Global, and Wuhuan, they always require the use of PDMS; even PDSoft won’t do. Ugh, I don’t know which large design firm the guy on the sixth floor works for
