Cylinders can also malfunction due to improper installation and use. Methods for analyzing and troubleshooting fault causes: Leakage – Air leakage at the piston rod end, eccentric installation of the piston rod, insufficient lubrication supply, worn piston seals, impurities on the bearing surfaces of the piston rod, or damage to the piston rod. Reinstall and adjust to ensure that the piston rod is not subject to eccentricity or lateral loads. Check whether the oil mister is malfunctioning. Replace the seal ring. Clean to remove impurities, and install or replace the dust cover. Replace the piston rod. Air leakage at the buffer adjustment area between the cylinder barrel and the cylinder head; internal leakage. Air leakage between the two ends of the piston; damaged piston seals; poor lubrication; the piston is stuck; defects in the piston’s mating surfaces. Force impurities into the sealing surface, replace the seal, check whether the oil mister is malfunctioning, and reinstall it while making adjustments to ensure that the piston rod is not subject to eccentric or lateral loads. Use purified compressed air to remove impurities. Insufficient output force, unsteady operation, poor lubrication, piston or piston rod jamming, insufficient air supply flow, presence of condensate and impurities. Check whether the oil mister is malfunctioning; reinstall and adjust it to eliminate eccentricity and lateral loads. To increase the diameter of connections or pipe fittings, make sure to use purified and dry compressed air to prevent water condensation. Poor buffering effect, worn buffer seals, damaged adjustment screws, too high cylinder speed – replace the seals and adjustment screws. Check whether the buffering mechanism is suitable; damaged piston rods, eccentric lateral loads, impact loads on the piston rods, too high cylinder speed – eliminate the eccentric lateral loads; impacts should not be applied to the piston rods. Install a buffering device. Damaged cylinder head, buffering mechanism not functioning – install a buffering mechanism externally or in the circuit
